1. Concept and design
Every piece starts off with a concept: your concept. We will meet and capture your vision on paper. We can work with a series of sketches or photos of existing pieces to create your dream design.
2. Rendering
An experienced designer will create a 3-D image in a CAD program to calculate the exact dimensions of your piece.
3. Mold making
A rubber mold prototype is created where wax is poured to get an imprint of the design. We then heat the mold and melt the wax, leaving a cavity with which we create a ceramic casting.
4. Metal Cast
Liquefied metal is then poured into the ceramic casting which is cooled and then shattered to reveal your final piece.
5. Setting
Then comes the most challenging task: the setting and securing of your carefully selected stones to allow for maximum sparkle. Our expert jewelers have mastered the art of a perfect setting.
5. Polishing
After your stones are perfectly set, your piece it is ready for its final steam polish and rhodium.
6. Engraving
The Grant’s Jewelry logo is engraved on every piece along with a personal message if requested. Every custom design piece receives an appraisal accurately describing the piece in detail, including value, for identification and insurance purposes.
